Overheating
Apparently, the overheating with my white mustang is somehow connected to engine RPM! Yeah, doesn’t make sense to me either. If I just sit there, my car starts overheating, but if I put it into PARK and start bringing up the engine speed, it starts cooling off.
Beats me as to why, but I’m happy that I can at least cool it down if I get stuck in traffic, now!

That is indeed an odd problem. Perhaps running it gets the coolant running through there faster or something. I don’t really know. My mechanical knowledge is somewhat limited.

No, that was actually my idea too — it’s weird… I don’t know why it’s suddenly needed to be ran through the pipes at a sudden speed to cool stuff down — perhaps there’s a blockage!
I tried to do a coolant flush, but it was just a kind of “normal” one (regular direction) — there’s actually a type of “backflush” that you can do, maybe I need that!

Have you checked your electric Fan?? Maybe when you rev the engine up it speeds up the fan to go faster.??
Just a thought.

Could be! I’ve checked the fan though, even when the car is off, and it seems to be spinning at an OK speed — I’m honestly stumped by all of this.

Have you checked the concentraion of your coolant.?Maybe there is too much water in it. If you dont have the correct amount of antifreeze in it all you have is hot water going through your system.

You know, I didn’t even think about that — I need to get one of the little tester things from Wal-Mart, I guess.
